The Vuvi people of Central Gabon are a small and esoteric tribe which makes some of the "white masks of Ogowe", a group of masks in which the Punu Okuyi are also included. Vuvi masks are black and white, carved with simplicity, stylistic features and basic designs endow these carvings with a minimalist beauty.

These masks are relatively flat with slit eyes, a generally tear drop shaped face and a stripe connecting the chin and lips. Coloration is limited to a black band at the border of the mask as well as dark accents on the lips, nose and eyes.
